This supplement covers data practices specific to the Provider Directory at itsnotpickyeating.org that are not addressed in the main Feeding Matters Privacy Policy.
Location Data
What We Collect
When you use the “Use My Location” feature or enter an address in the location search, we collect:
- Your geographic coordinates (latitude and longitude) OR
- The address/location you enter
How We Use It
Location data is used solely to:
- Calculate distances to providers
- Display providers near you on the map
- Sort results by proximity
Storage and Retention
- Location data is processed in real-time and is not stored on our servers
- Your browser may cache your location preference locally
- We do not create location profiles or track your location over time
Your Control
- Location access requires your explicit permission via browser prompt
- You can deny or revoke location permission at any time in your browser settings
- The directory functions without location data (you can browse all providers)
Google Maps
This site uses Google Maps to display provider locations. When you use the map:
- Google may collect data according to Google’s Privacy Policy

- Your IP address may be shared with Google
- Map interactions (zoom, pan, clicks) may be logged by Google
