About
I provide neurodiversity-affirming, relationship-based occupational therapy with a strong focus on nervous system regulation, sensory processing, emotional safety, and functional participation. While I work with a wide range of pediatric needs, I have a particular interest in feeding differences, sensory-based feeding challenges, ARFID/picky eating, oral aversion, interoception, emotional regulation, and supporting children with autism, ADHD, anxiety, developmental delays, and complex sensory profiles.
My approach is highly individualized and family-centered. I believe feeding is about far more than food intake alone—it is deeply connected to sensory processing, motor skills, regulation, communication, trust, body awareness, and the child’s overall relationship with mealtimes. I prioritize building safety and connection first, recognizing that meaningful progress happens when children feel understood rather than pressured.
Treatment sessions are play-based, responsive, and collaborative. I integrate sensory integration principles, emotional regulation support, executive functioning strategies, oral motor skill development, caregiver coaching, and environmental adaptations into treatment. I work closely with families to better understand the “why” behind a child’s feeding challenges and to create practical, sustainable strategies that fit naturally into daily life.
Families working with me can expect a compassionate, non-shaming approach that values the child’s autonomy while still supporting growth and skill development. Parent coaching is a large part of my practice, as I believe caregivers are an essential part of the therapeutic process. Sessions often include education around sensory processing, regulation, co-regulation, nervous system needs, feeding dynamics, and how to reduce stress around meals and daily routines.
What sets my practice apart is my emphasis on the connection between regulation, sensory processing, emotional experiences, and functional participation. I strive to create a space where both children and caregivers feel supported, validated, and empowered. My goal is not only to help children expand skills and participation, but also to help families better understand their child and feel more confident supporting them in everyday life.
