Feeding Clinic: Our interdisciplinary team of specialists provides a comprehensive approach to evaluating feeding and swallowing problems. Our comprehensive evaluation looks specifically at sensory, oral motor, behavioral and swallowing issues. Our team gets to know the child through the assessment process including: • The amount of food the child will consume during a meal • The texture of the food the child will accept • The variety of foods the child consumes • Behaviors the child exhibits during mealtime • The safety of oral feeding Feeding Therapy – Each child who is evaluated through our Feeding Clinic receives recommendations, a care plan and referrals as appropriate which may include our feeding therapy groups or individual therapy treatment sessions. Our Feeding Clinic is provided in our Johnston and Ames locations. Feeding Therapy is available in Johnston, Ames and Iowa City. More information is available at www.childserve.org/feeding
