Nikki has over 25 years of experience as a Speech-Language Pathologist with extensive training in pediatric feeding. Feeding priorities stem from a place of safety and security. Overall feeding goals are driven by the needs of the family and caregiver, but first and foremost, autonomy of the client is paramount. Nothing happens within the clinic setting that the client has not given permission to take place. In this way, therapy is about providing opportunities for the client to choose what he/she/they eat so that the client begins to develop intrinsic desire to eat.
