About

At Creative Continuum Therapy, we believe that feeding is about far more than food. It is a complex interaction of regulation, sensory processing, motor skills, communication, family relationships, medical history, and the unique way each child experiences the world. Our role is to help make the invisible factors impacting feeding visible, so families can move forward with greater understanding, confidence, and connection.

We are a multidisciplinary, neurodiversity-affirming mental health practice specializing in supporting children, adolescents, and families navigating developmental differences, including autism, ADHD, sensory processing challenges, trauma, anxiety, chronic medical conditions, and executive functioning differences. While feeding therapy itself may involve occupational or speech-language pathology services, our practice provides specialized mental health support that complements a child’s feeding team by addressing the emotional, behavioral, relational, and sensory factors that often influence mealtimes.

Our clinicians have extensive experience supporting children with sensory sensitivities, avoidant and restrictive eating patterns, anxiety surrounding food, interoceptive differences, emotional regulation challenges, and parent-child dynamics that develop around feeding. We collaborate closely with pediatricians, gastroenterologists, occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, dietitians, and other providers to ensure care is coordinated and individualized.

Our treatment approach is grounded in evidence-informed, relationship-based, and developmentally appropriate care. We draw from modalities including art therapy, play therapy, parent coaching, cognitive behavioral therapies, somatic and sensory-based interventions, executive functioning support, and trauma-informed care. We prioritize safety and regulation before expecting skill development, recognizing that meaningful progress occurs when children feel understood rather than pressured.

Families working with Creative Continuum Therapy can expect a collaborative, compassionate, and highly individualized experience. We spend time understanding each child’s strengths, interests, sensory profile, communication style, developmental history, and family values before creating treatment recommendations. Parents and caregivers are viewed as essential members of the therapeutic team, with ongoing education, coaching, and practical strategies integrated throughout treatment.

What sets our practice apart is our commitment to seeing the whole child. Rather than focusing solely on behaviors, we seek to understand the underlying nervous system, sensory, developmental, and relational factors contributing to feeding challenges. We strive to create an environment where children feel safe to explore, families feel empowered rather than judged, and progress is measured not only by what is eaten, but by increased confidence, flexibility, regulation, and connection around mealtimes.

Our mission is to educate, integrate, regulate, and advocate—helping children and families build sustainable skills while honoring neurodiversity, supporting authentic development, and creating meaningful change that extends beyond the therapy room.
