Jennifer House MSc, RD

Jennifer has been a Registered Dietitian for 20 years. She founded First Step Nutrition 18 years ago, where she helps to make feeding families easier, focusing on starting baby on solids and picky eating.
Jen earned her BSc in Nutrition & Food Science from the University of Alberta. Before starting First Step Nutrition, she completed an MSc in Human Nutrition from the University of British Columbia. She also worked in outpatient services at the Alberta Children’s Hospital, often seeing clients with Failure to Thrive or picky eating struggles.
Having a picky eater of her own, Jennifer can relate to the stress and struggles of raising a kid who won’t try new foods! She has helped hundreds of families make dinnertime with picky eaters more peaceful, now working with clients in her business online via programs, including Nourish & Flourish for parents of older selective eaters. Jen also trains healthcare professionals to work with picky eaters via the Picky Eating Network for Healthcare Professionals.
