About

Pediatric Feeding Therapy at Seattle Therapy
At Seattle Therapy, we believe that successful feeding therapy begins with building strong relationships and a foundation of trust. Our pediatric feeding therapy services focus on creating a calm, pressure-free environment where children feel safe exploring both familiar and new foods.
We use each child’s unique interests to guide feeding therapy sessions. Whether that means creating food art inspired by a favorite animal or learning to cook a family meal, therapy is designed to be engaging and fun. We respect each child’s comfort level and choices around food, while gently modeling new ways to explore and interact with foods through play-based learning.
A supportive feeding therapy environment starts in our fully equipped kitchen space. With access to a wide variety of ingredients from all food groups and age-appropriate cooking tools, children can actively participate in meal preparation. This hands-on approach helps build confidence and encourages intrinsic motivation to try new foods in a natural, meaningful way.
Collaboration is at the heart of our wraparound care model. From the initial feeding evaluation, we partner closely with families to ensure therapy goals reflect the child’s everyday life and needs. Throughout the therapy process, we work alongside caregivers, teachers, nutritionists, physicians, and other therapists to provide a holistic, team-based approach. This collaboration supports skill carryover into the home environment and helps children achieve lasting progress.
