PICKY EATING & FEEDING/EATING DIFFICULTIES
Christina Munro is a licensed social worker with advanced practice in picky eating, avoidant/restrictive food intake disorder (ARFID), and other feeding/eating disorders in children (2-9), adolescents (10-18), and adults (18+). Interventions are done in a 1:1 or family-based setting with mental health, behavioral, sensory, nutritional, and medical concerns as our basis for treatment.

Techniques:
She utilizes a variety of techniques in treatment: CBT-AR, Food Chaining, The Get Permission Approach, Intuitive Eating, and the principles of Sequential Oral Sensory (SOS). She prefers to take an integrative and multi-disciplinary approach to feeding difficulties and will work closely with other specialists including SLPs, OTs, RDs, Gastroenterologists, Pediatricians, ABA providers, etc. Christina defers to Speech-Language Pathologists and Occupational Therapists for motor skills. She looks at the whole child and family to better allow families to make progress at home through family meals and in the therapy session.

Sessions:
Sessions typically include food play, family and individual psychoeducation, exposure, mindfulness techniques, and other neuro-developmentally appropriate techniques.
