About

Hi, I’m Brenda Chilstrom, OTR/L. My company, That Makes Sense OT, www.thatmakessenseot.com had its foundations in providing responsive feeding therapy in a craving for connection, joy and creative thinking in the real world. The name says it all! After hearing, “That makes sense!” from so many parents, it dawned on me that it was the perfect name for my business. My process includes drawing families into a partnership to find creative, real-life solutions to help their children succeed. Families today often lead hectic, stressful lifestyles. What I have found to be true is they all crave to be understood, accepted, and most importantly, they want the best for their children.
As a pediatric occupational therapist for 25+ years, I have extensive knowledge and experience in many realms of pediatrics. My primary focus is on early intervention, responsive feeding therapy, and sensory processing. Feeding challenges are a passion of mine! It’s so rewarding to see families come together as they gain confidence to build successful eating experiences and skills that will last a lifetime. I use a responsive feeding approach, focusing on connection, autonomy, and relationships to increase peace and joy at mealtimes.
